Meet Coach Javier

The dedicated owner of CrossFit Conifer. While in college, he found CrossFit and fell in love. Every workout seemed like a game to play. After college, he studied sports science on a research internship. When he came back, he knew he wanted to share what he learned and coach CrossFit.

One big turning point in his life was after he injured his back. He had been doing CrossFit for a while and thought he was doing everything correctly but it turned out he wasn’t. He re-evaluated his form, flexibility and hired a coach to train him and make sure he did the movements correctly. Over time, he overcame his injury and is now fully capable of what anyone else can do.

He is impassioned to serve those who may have been told that they need to limit themselves. He is a stickler about form and is motivated by people who are serious about making a significant change to their health and fitness.

Meet Coach Sydney

For Coach Sydney, fitness and health have always been a priority. She grew up playing soccer and earned a scholarship playing for her college. She captained her university soccer team and was named as part of the “All Region Team” her senior year.

A big turning point for Sydney was after she graduated college. She found herself at a desk job beginning to battle depression. She realized that she had a passion to help others and it was being bottled up in a way that didn’t agree with her mindset. So she decided to start a new career path and become a coach. Since doing so, she’s found so much meaning and joy in helping others.

Today, she helps people get better everyday and is loving it. She is motivated to help people who also struggle with self-doubt and help them accomplish more than they thought possible.

Born and raised in the mountains of Colorado with an athletic background as a full-time alpine ski racer for over 15 years. Mallorie was a member of the Sierra Nevada University alpine team, the winningest women’s ski team in the United States Collegiate Ski Association. Her team won 8 national titles across 4 different disciplines during her time at the university, and was awarded 1st Team All-American during her senior year. She began CrossFit while in college as a way to stay in shape during the off-season.

After graduating from college and retiring from ski racing, she felt lost, as though she had no purpose. CrossFit served as a way out for her renew her passion for competition and exploring her potential fitness and athleticism.

As she explored CrossFit more deeply she realized that she can help others become more competitive and explore their potential as her job! Since then she’s educated herself tremendously in training methodology and has fell in love with the connections she gets to make every day with the people she coaches.

Her primary goal as a coach is to foster a positive environment and community while also helping each person achieve their individual goals, both inside and outside of the gym. She is motivated by people who also want to explore their potential and push their limits.

Meet Coach Courtney

Being athletic was in Courtney’s DNA, she grew up in a ski town and competed in multiple sports growing up, including downhill ski racing, basketball, volleyball, and tennis. She competed in the Junior Olympics in ski racing and made it to the State Tournament for Volleyball in high school. After high school she began teaching aerobics and later started doing CrossFit. She loved the challenge that is CrossFit and immediately became hooked.

She attended her first CrossFit trainer course in 2006 and it changed her life. So she took a leap of faith, leaving her aerobics career behind and jumping into CrossFit and the CrossFit community immediately supported her. So much so that CrossFit HQ also hired her and she now manages the global training seminars CrossFit puts on.

Your first time at the gym

You’ll meet A coach and tour the gym

  • We train people for a living. And, just like any job - doing it well is our main form of job security. So we obsessively focus on how to get people results and do it every day.

  • We take charge from the minute class starts. You won’t have to make up your own warm-up, workout or anything else. You just have to show up.

You’ll workout, learn and become stronger.

  • Absolutely not, in fact our purpose is to help people transform themselves from unfit to fit. Additionally the free Sunday class is even more beginner friendly than our regular classes.

  • During your very first class you’ll intuitively know that this is the way to get strong and it will feel “right”. With consistency like 2-5 classes per week, you’ll see results in 3 weeks and every 3 weeks after that.

Afterwards we’ll help you build a regular routine.

  • We design our program to be most effective when you take 4-5 classes per week and most people build up to that consistency over the first 1-3 months.

  • Soreness is going to be part of it, especially if you haven’t been exercising for a while. See it as “proof”. Proof that you took time to improve yourself, proof that you’re getting stronger and proof that you have what it takes to come in again.
